This policy explains what personal data MyCV.ie collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use a small number of established service providers to run the service, and each one only receives what it needs to do its job:

A certified payment provider, which handles your card details directly. We never receive or store them.
An email delivery provider, for the checklist and any follow-up emails.
A form provider, which hosts the free CV review form and the intake form you complete after purchase.
A web hosting provider for this website.
Analytics and advertising providers, for measuring how our ads perform, and only if you accept cookies.

Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard. If you want to know exactly which providers we use, email hello@mycv.ie and we will tell you.

How long we keep it

Checklist subscribers: until you unsubscribe, or after two years of no engagement.
Free CV review submissions: six months after we send your review, then deleted. Ask us and we will delete yours sooner.
Client CV materials: two years after your order completes, so we can help if you come back for an update. Ask us and we will delete them sooner.
Order and payment records: six years, as required by Irish tax law.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Have inaccurate data corrected
Have your data deleted
Object to or restrict how we use it
Withdraw consent at any time, using the one-click unsubscribe link in every marketing email
Ask for your data in a portable format

Email hello@mycv.ie to exercise any of these and we will respond within one month.

Cookies

The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies until you press Accept on the banner. If you decline, or ignore it, only essential functionality is used. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which will bring the banner back.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first, as we would rather fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
